The repertoire, meticulously curated by myself, breathes new life into those dances that flourished between 1770 and 1820 within the English ballrooms from Bath to London. Even though all these choreographies shall be celebrated upon the parquet on the evening of the grand ball, it proves exceedingly useful and entertaining even for seasoned dancers to briskly traverse the entire program in advance.
In the relaxed and light-flooded atmosphere of the former Johanniskirche on the Domplatz, we shall run through all the dances once or twice. This provides a most excellent opportunity to familiarize oneself with the subtle nuances, tours, and specific figures – one might think, for instance, of my entirely unique and charming interpretation of the famous classic "Mr. Beveridge’s Maggot". Furthermore, you shall already forge your first familiar bonds with the ladies and gentlemen of our society – for, as we know from experience, the sparkling night of the ball always passes far too swiftly.
This course is dedicated to a brisk, yet perpetually elegant dancing through of all the ball dances, united with the participants of the preparatory intensive course. Naturally, every lady and gentleman who is unable to attend the evening ball, yet wishes to share the joy of these dances, is also most cordially welcome.
During our instruction, we shall predominantly employ the German language. At the ball itself, the calls shall resonate bilingually in German and English, whereby we strictly adhere to the historical English designations of the figures. So that you may attune yourself completely, the dance descriptions and our catalogue of figures are available to you in advance upon the website.

Our selection for the ball evening unites the graceful lightness of English Country Dances. To keep the dance program varied and accessible to everyone, lively Duple Minors alternate with refined Triple Minors. Carried by the historical melodies, both beginners and advanced dancers will find the necessary confidence to glide across the parquet with ease on the night of the ball.
